Multi-week summer camps for children ages PreK through 12th grade featuring hands-on space science, simulated space missions, rocket building, and engineering challenges. Campers explore planetary science, astronaut training, robotics, and NASA-inspired projects through inquiry-based learning.
Buehler Challenger & Science Center runs a series of week-long and multi-day summer camps throughout June, July, and August 2026. Programs range from Little Astronauts for PreK-K children learning basic space concepts to Product Engineering camps for high school students tackling real-world design challenges. All campers participate in simulated space missions in the center's spacecraft simulators, build and launch model rockets, and engage in hands-on experiments inspired by NASA research. Specialized offerings include Rocket Girls, a STEM camp designed for 5th-8th grade girls focusing on space science and engineering careers, and camps themed around specific missions like exploring Mars, the Moon, and the search for extraterrestrial life.
