The YMCA of Greater New York operates summer day camps at its Broadway branch in Staten Island for children ages 3–13, offering traditional camp activities, swim instruction, soccer training, and skill-focused adventure camps from late June through mid-August.
Broadway YMCA offers several summer camp programs. Traditional Summer Camp (ages 6–12) features physical fitness, arts and crafts, science activities, and theme days built on YMCA values of respect, caring, honesty, and responsibility. Early Childhood Camp (ages 3–5) uses hands-on, sensory play-based learning with music, movement, and community excursions. Swim Camp (ages 7–13) combines day camp activities with specialized aquatic instruction tailored to individual skill levels, taught by certified water safety instructors and lifeguards. New in 2026, the YMCA also offers focused Adventure Camps including Soccer Academy (ages 8–10) run by certified U.S. Soccer Foundation coaches. All campers receive instructional swim time. Camp runs in two-week sessions from June 29 through August 21, 2026, with hours 9 am–5 pm (extended care 7:30–9 am and 5–6 pm available).
