A week-long day camp in Rochelle Park where children ages 10-16 learn to scuba dive, starting Monday and earning their Open Water certification by Friday afternoon through classroom instruction, pool training, and fun water activities.
Blue Water Divers runs a five-day scuba day camp for kids ages 10–16. The week begins Monday and concludes Friday with graduation and a pizza party. Each day includes classroom academics mixed with educational videos from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., lunch and free swim time, and afternoon water skills and pool activities from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., including snorkeling, water basketball, and free diving. Campers who successfully complete the week can schedule a certification weekend. Camp provides the Open Water certification course materials, rental equipment for pool sessions, snacks, daily lunch, and the graduation celebration. Campers must bring their own snorkeling gear, weights, bathing suit, and towel, and complete all paperwork before the first day.
