Weekly themed summer camps for children ages 4-14 combining outdoor exploration, student-driven art and science projects, field trips via CTA and walking, and group games. Campers spend most days outside with an indoor space for extreme weather. Also runs: Blazing Star Day Off Camps.
Blazing Star summer camps run Monday-Friday from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm during the summer break. Campers ages 4-14 can enroll by the week, with each week featuring a different theme. The program emphasizes open-ended, student-driven projects in art and science at their home base location, combined with field trips to neighborhoods near and far using CTA and walking. Group games and free play are built into each day. The school prioritizes outdoor learning with water play and shaded areas to keep cool. Four-year-old spots are limited due to developmental considerations. Before and after care options are available for an additional fee.
