Black Bear Academy Summer Programming

Black Bear Academy's summer programming runs two sessions: Session 1 from June 15–July 17 (5 weeks) and Session 2 from July 20–August 14 (4 weeks). Students can attend half-day (9 AM–12 PM) or full-day (9 AM–3 PM) options. Each day includes 50 minutes each of reading, writing, and math instruction taught by experienced teachers and therapists. Full-day students receive lunch and recess from 12–1 PM, then choose from art, social studies, or science classes, or individual services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, or social skills groups. The program uses evidence-based curricula including Wilson Reading Program, Fundations, and The Writing Revolution. Individualized schedules are recommended through placement evaluations for new students and teacher recommendations for current students.
