See if kids you know are going to this camp.
A week-long day camp in Chicago's Lincoln Square neighborhood for ages 9–14 where young makers build projects using woodworking, digital fabrication, coding, and robotics. Each week has a different theme—from designing skateboards and miniature worlds to programming robots and creating glowing installations. Also runs: BitSpace Day Off Camps.
BitSpace's summer camp offers 10 weeks of hands-on creative programming (June through early September) with themes rotating weekly to keep learning fresh and challenging. Campers work with professional-grade tools including 3D printers, Arduino robotics, virtual reality, woodworking equipment, and digital design software. The program emphasizes 21st-century skills like critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving alongside practical making skills. Expert instructors guide each group through design challenges and project completion, with campers taking home everything they create. Some weeks are intensive (like the coding-focused Bad Robots) while others suit younger or newer makers.
