Big Oak Day Camp is owned and operated by career teachers and part of Camp Concepts, which has been administering summer programs since 2003. The camp serves children entering grades 1-9 in two divisions: Junior Camp (grades 1-5) and Senior Teen Camp (grades 6-9). Activities include classic camp games like capture the flag, four square, tennis, and pickleball, along with creative problem-solving tasks and team challenges. The camp prioritizes creating "M&M Moments" (Memorable and Meaningful Moments) and focuses on building self-confidence, friendships, and community over skill acquisition. Each camper group has a dedicated Lead Counselor supported by Associate and Junior Counselors, with professional Activity Leaders facilitating games.
