Bank Street Summer Camp

Bank Street Summer Camp operates three separate divisions by age. Lower Camp serves rising pre-K through first grade in groups of approximately 15 children with a 1:5 staff ratio, featuring daily outdoor play in Riverside Park, weekly Spanish and STEAM instruction, and sports in a non-competitive environment. Middle Camp for rising second through fourth grade maintains a 1:7 ratio and offers rotating specialty activities including food science, woodworking, drama, cooking, ceramics, and instructional sports. Upper Camp (Creative Collective) for rising grades 5–8 focuses on visual and performing arts with script writing, character development, and set design. All campers swim twice weekly at the 92NY pool using Red Cross Learn-to-Swim programs in small leveled groups with a 1:6 instructor-to-camper ratio, participate in weekly field trips, and enjoy daily snacks with lunch available through Butter Beans Kitchen. The camp uses air-conditioned Bank Street classrooms and emphasizes social-emotional development, positive identity building, and joy in learning through a progressive educational philosophy.
