A five-week residential academic enrichment program at Phillips Academy for rising 7th–12th graders from across the United States and internationally. Students choose from over 50 courses, live in gender-specific dormitories, attend daily afternoon activities, and participate in off-campus college visits and field trips.
Established in 1942, Andover Summer Session is a premier five-week on-campus program that brings together more than 600 students annually. The Lower School Institute serves students entering 7th–8th grades with an integrated curriculum built around thematic topics, while Upper School students entering 9th–12th grades select from an extensive array of academic courses. All students live on campus in gender-specific dorms, attend mandatory evening study hours, work with faculty advisors, and participate in coordinated afternoon and weekend activities. Day-student options are available. The program includes optional test-prep courses and college counseling. Financial aid of nearly half a million dollars is allocated annually, primarily through partnerships with community organizations serving disadvantaged students.
