An intensive six-day-a-week ballet summer program at Purchase College for advanced dancers worldwide, featuring faculty from prestigious institutions like Paris Opera Ballet and Royal Ballet School, with daily technique classes, performances, and dormitory accommodations. Also runs: American Academy of Ballet Junior Summer Program.
The AAB Summer School of Excellence is one of the most respected ballet training programs in the United States. Dancers study classical ballet, pointe, variations, pas de deux, contemporary, character, and repertoire under distinguished faculty from world-renowned institutions including the Paris Opera Ballet, Royal Ballet School of Europe, Vaganova Academy, Théâtre Colón, and New York City Ballet. The program provides coaching in artistic choreography and stage performance, with weekly performance opportunities. All classes, dormitories, meals, and performances take place at Purchase College's beautiful campus, creating a safe, inspiring artistic environment. Students come from across the United States and more than 15 countries, with auditions held January to March.
