A day camp in Alpine, New Jersey serving grades 1-7 throughout the summer, featuring 500 acres of woodlands with hiking trails, indoor and outdoor climbing walls, and an Olympic-sized pool. Sessions run Monday through Friday from late June through mid-August.
Alpine Day Camp, operated by the Greater New York Councils of Scouting America, welcomes all boys and girls entering grades 1-7. The camp is situated on 500 acres along the scenic Palisades Park and offers outdoor adventure programming with activity blocks throughout the day. Children experience a mix of social activities, outdoor programs, indoor rest time, and free play, with lunch and snacks provided. The camp maintains a ratio of no more than 10 participants per staff member, with groups of 10-20 divided by age, temperament and friendship preferences. Eight one-week sessions run from late June through mid-August, and families can register for single weeks or multiple weeks at discounted rates. Transportation is available from multiple locations in New Jersey, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, Queens and the Bronx.
