A day camp in Wilmington, Delaware for ages 6–12 running June through August, featuring age-based groups, rotating activity zones including arts, STEM, outdoor games, and quiet spaces, plus twice-weekly swimming and weekly field trips to museums and attractions.
Adventure Kids Summer Camp has served Delaware families for 25 years, offering a structured yet flexible day camp experience. Campers are grouped into age-based Nations (Air for ages 6–7, Water for 7–8, Fire for 9–10, and Earth for 11–12), each with its own lead counselor. Days follow a consistent rhythm starting at 7:30 AM with arrival and morning play, followed by rotating activity blocks in zones like the Art Room, LEGO Room, the Grove for outdoor games, the Reading Room, and the Zen Den for quiet time. The camp emphasizes both active play and emotional regulation, with campers spending time on creative projects, group games, and exploration. Special weekly traditions include swimming twice weekly in ability-based groups, field trips to destinations like the Franklin Institute and Adventure Aquarium, and camp-wide celebrations. Lunch and snacks are provided, and all field trips and activities are included in tuition.
